First of all, the service was phenomenal. We were seated right away and our waitress was so kind, patient and checked on us often. We started with a round of beers and the sampler appetizer platter along with the complimentary chips and salsas (1 spicy and 1 regular). The beef flautas were slightly overcooked, but tasty, the jalapeño poppers and cheese quesadilla were very tasty. The salsas were both very fresh and delicious. We then got another round of beers and the chicken and steak fajitas for 2. This came with 2 plates of sides (rice, beans, 3 tortillas each, sour cream, guac and cheese). The fajitas were cooked perfectly and meat was very tender. There wasn't a lot of flavor on the meat though. It was very basic, but also very good. I do wish there was a little more sour cream and cheese. The little ketchup cups they came in didn't hold much. The ambiance is alright, nothing special but you really can't beat the price and there is convenient free parking right across the street. Overall, I'd definitely come back and try more of their entrees since they all looked very good at the surrounding tables!

As an old time standard, it's remarkable how this place is up kept. Still very fresh and clean and friendly. It was very busy, but the waitress was still very helpful and kind. So many times in a rushed atmosphere the wait staff get frustrated so they must be treated very well, because our waitress was a joy. The food is always plentiful hot fresh and delicious. I'm so glad that this place never loses it's appeal.

I used to think that all the restaurants in Mexican Town were basically the same. It's not true. Some places are about what you would expect to find anywhere. But, Mexican Village has a big edge in quality over those places. The first indication of the quality in store is when bowls of spectacularly crispy chips are set down, along with hot and mild salsa. Free refills are also allowed. You will want to buy a bag of these to take home with you. They are far better than anything you can get at the supermarket, and better than most Mexican restaurants. I ordered chicken quesadillas, which were not what you expect. Instead of massive amounts of cheese pressed between tortillas with a few flecks of chicken, this is fresh chicken with substantial amounts of fresh peppers and onion. No cheese. Did they mess up my order? No...a traditional quesadilla has a variety of different ingredient options. This was truly outstanding. Service was amazingly quick, prices are reasonable, and it's always a treat to have a meal in such a beautiful setting. Take a close look at the bricks along the wall as you walk in. Each of the hundreds of bricks has a pattern or a picture or a name carved into or painted on it. Just one of many things to love about Mexican Village.

My boyfriend took me here Saturday night for a nice night out ! I have never been here. It was a very nice establishment. I ordered two ground beef tacos and a strawberry margarita while he ordered a coke with the super nachos. Surprisingly the order came out very quickly considering how busy they were! It is good authentic Mexican food ! The tacos were huge ! I barely finished my second one. The margarita was spot on. The super nachos were RIDICULOUSLY huge. He had to take half of it home with him it was so much! You will never leave this place hungry! Plus they do bring fresh chips and salsa to the table as needed !

Still a gem! There was a little down turn around the Covid eta, but things have been much better! Just very thankful they came through that time, it was so rough for restaurants. The great vibe and energy have returned. Service has been great and so very friendly and welcoming! The crowds are back and the place is a lot of fun! The food has been delicious! Large and tasty portions! They give lots of salsa and chips. Their salsa is house made and they have both spicy and mild. I highly recommend the large botona and the fajitas!! There is truly something for everyone! The margs are on point as well! Really very much enjoy this local restaurant and it is great to see it thriving!

Ate here for the first time in several years and I thought to myself this place used to be better! Is that true or have I since then have tried other places that are better? Either way, I'd give them a 3.5 but I'm rounding up to a 4. There's nothing special about this restaurant TBH. The chips and salsa are average (too small of a bowl tho), my a la carte items were good but not drool worthy, my friend did really like his enchiladas and my other friend liked his botana. I do have to say their margaritas were pretty good tho! The service was decent too. This is not the place I'd die to come back to but it's good enough!
